Boys and Girls Club of Galveston Benefits from Local Company’s Involvement

Del Papa contributes to “Lemonade Day” participation by Galveston Boys and Girls Club

July 15, 2008 – GALVESTON, TX—This summer, children served by the Boys and Girls Club of Galveston were able to participate in “Lemonade Day” thanks to a $5,000 donation from Del Papa Distributing Company. This contribution continues the company’s commitment to supporting local charities.

Lemonade Day, an annual event administered by the Prepared 4 Life Foundation of Houston, is a program that exposes children to all aspects of being an entrepreneur and running a small business.

“The kids had a lot of fun during Lemonade Day and were excited to see this result from their hard work.” said Cheryl Chatman, Director of Boys and Girls Club of Galveston. “Thanks to donations from companies like Del Papa, the Boys and Girls Club is able to continue to foster a sense of confidence and accomplishment in children.”
