Boys’ Haven Benefits from Local Company’s Involvement

Del Papa donation assists with program for boys

June 3, 2008 – BEAUMONT, TX— Over the past several years, Del Papa Distributing Co. has supported the successful programs of Boys’ Haven, a local home for boys. This year Del Papa recognizes the value of Boys’ Haven by making a $4,000 donation to the organization. This contribution continues the company’s commitment to supporting Boys’ Haven and other local charities.

“Boys Haven is thankful for Del Papa’s ongoing support,” declared Donna Turchi, Executive Director of Boys’ Haven. “These boys need stability and strong role models and we supply a warm, nurturing environment for them—donations such as this allows us to concentrate on the boys instead of financial and material needs.”

“Community support has long been a priority for Del Papa,” said Andy Bogan, of Del Papa. “The company’s relationship with Boys’ Haven has spanned almost 20 years and has included in-kind and product donations. It is part of our commitment to strengthen the communities in which our employees and customers live.”

In 2007, Del Papa Distributing Company made many significant donations to non-profit agencies, community festivals and events, and consumer awareness and education programs throughout the 17 Texas counties it serves.

Founded by the Beaumont Optimists Club in 1945, Boys’ Haven provides a safe, stable, loving home to boys from southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana. Their mission is to prepare residents to become emotionally mature and responsible members of society. It is funded by the United Way, Juvenile probation, memorial gifts, fundraisers and donations.
